• representation of a Swiss machine building company in several court disputes relating to patent infringements as well as coordination of infringement disputes in China,
• representation of an Asian company in a patent infringement dispute relating to vacuum technology, including preliminary injunction proceeding, main proceeding as well as invalidation proceedings,
• representation of a company in patent infringement and invalidation proceedings relating to plasma technology,
• representation of several food companies in patent infringement court disputes relating to functional food products,
• representation of a leading window technology company in several patent disputes (including preliminary injunction proceedings and main proceedings) as well as the coordination of international product piracy cases,
• representation of a manufacturer of electronical components in a patent infringement dispute including evidence preservation procedures and in the coordination of international patent enforcement activities,
• representation of a company active in the field of precision technology in several patent infringement proceedings, nullity proceedings as well as in the coordination of worldwide patent enforcement activities in Europe, China and the US,
• representation of a company active in the tooling industry in several patent infringement court disputes,
• representation of different companies concerning patent infringement disputes in the field of pump technology,
  representation of a US software company in a dispute relating to the protection of a source code and software licenses,
• representation of a leading manufacturer of medical products in patent infringement proceedings as well as the coordination of international product piracy cases, in particular, in China,
• representation of a known manufacturer of model trains in trademark and product piracy cases as well as concerning licensing matters,
• representation of several companies in disputes relating to the ownership of patents,
• representation and several disputes relating to protection of trade secrets and design protection,
  negotiation of several complex research and development cooperations involving EU funding and national funding,
• representation of food companies and pharmaceutical companies in the negotiation of research and development agreements as well as in the negotiation of agreements concerning clinical studies,
• negotiations of several research and development, licenses, confidential and material transfer agreements in different technical fields (automotive, medical industry, tooling industry etc.) for companies, universities and research institutions,
• implementation of protection systems against product piracy for several companies (border protection, actions at tradeshows, internal control systems etc.),
• implementation of employee invention systems and representation in disputes relating to employee inventions, including representation at the arbitration board for employee inventions as well as in court proceedings,
• experience as an arbitrator as well as in mediation proceedings,
• IP due diligences and IP acquisition for several companies.

Education

Nils Heide studied at the University Bonn, Göttingen and Oxford. He received a PhD from the University of Göttingen. He completed his legal clerkship in Berlin. Dr. Nils Heide was a scholar of the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation.

Nils Heide is admitted to all German District Courts and Higher Regional Courts, the German Patent Court, the Federal Supreme Court (in nullity proceedings), the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office, the European Intellectual Property Office as well as the Unified Patent Court.

He obtained the qualification as a Specialized Lawyer for Intellectual Property Law in the year 2008.

Robotics & AI Law Society (RAILS), European Laywer Association (EPLAW), The German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) as well as the Licensing Executive Society (LES).
